David N Chernoff MD currently serves as chief medical officer for Naia Limited.
Earlier in his career, he served as senior advisor of medical affairs, vice president of medical affairs and acting chief medical officer for Adamas Pharmaceuticals, Inc.; chief medical officer for Schiff Nutrition International Inc; chief medical officer for Crescendo Bioscience, Inc; chief medical officer for Aquinox Pharmaceuticals Inc; chief medical officer for Pulse Health LLC; medical director of Chiron Corporation/Chiron Diagnostics; and vice president of corporate technology for Elan Pharmaceuticals, where he led the evaluation of a broad range of in-licensing opportunities.
He has served as acting chief medical officer for several startup biotech companies, including XDX, CardioDx, Tethys Biosciences and Neuromolecular Pharmaceuticals. He spent two years as an entrepreneur-in-residence and one year as an operating partner at the venture firm TPG, where he was actively involved in due diligence and in incubating new companies.
Dr. Chernoff received a BS in biology from Yale University and an M.D. from New York University. He completed his medical training in internal medicine, rheumatology and infectious disease at the University of California, San Francisco.
